Driver Trapped in 101Freeway Crash

A motorist in a gray minivan was trapped inside a van that may have hit part of a truck on the Ventura (101) Freeway in Calabasas today.

Paramedics rushed one person to an area hospital and his condition was not immediately known, said a county fire dispatcher.

Paramedics were sent to the crash on the eastbound 101 Freeway between Calabasas Parkway and Valley Circle Boulevard at 12:23 p.m., he said.

And although the motorist was trapped inside the minivan, he remained conscious, according to CHP officers. Their initial reports indicated a truck on the side of the freeway may have been involved in the crash.
