Elementary Students Put Their Best Foot Forward

The dance competition drew hundreds of children.

Forget the stars. Saturday’s Best Foot Forward competition was all about dancing with the fourth and fifth graders.

The dance contest, which took place at El Camino High School Saturday, was the culmination of a school year’s worth of ballroom dance lessons at Valley schools.

The non-profit Best Foot Forward program attempts to instill self respect, self discipline through dance.

Van Nuys’ Anatola Elementary School won the fourth-grade competition and West Hills’ Pomelo Drive Elementary won for the fifth graders.
