Fire Damages Two Reseda Homes a Few Miles Northeast of Woodland Hills

Fire damaged two homes Friday in Reseda about five miles northeast of Woodland Hills, a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman said.
The fire was reported at 2:41 p.m. Dec. 14 in the 18900 block of West Wyandotte Street.
Firefighters found a one-story home with a blaze showing from the rear of the property, according to LAFD spokesman Erik Scott.

A contingent of 29 firefighters responded and knockdown was declared on the fire at 3 p.m., Scott said.
A 22-year-old woman was taken to a local hospital in fair condition with symptoms of minor smoke inhalation, and a 4-year-old boy was taken to the hospital as a precaution, Scott said.

The main house on the property was described as a "total loss" and a two-bedroom house in the rear sustained slight damage, Scott said.
The cause of the fire was being investigated by the LAFD Arson Section.
