Fire Scorches Two-Story Woodland Hills Home

Crews made quick work of a house fire that broke out Monday morning on the second story of a home in Woodland Hills.

WOODLAND HILLS, CA — A fire damaged a two-story home in Woodland Hills Monday morning. Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters were able to contain the blaze to the a second-story room in the house, and no one was hurt in the blaze.

The fire was first reported at 9:08 a.m. Monday in the 6000 block of Fuchsia Court, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart. It took 31 firefighters about 16 minutes to knock down the flames. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and authorities are working to asses the damage, said Stewart.
