Gas Price Is Up 21-Cents in One Week
Analysts attribute much of the recent increase to a major fire at a Chevron refinery.
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Sunday for the 30th time in 31 days, increasing 2.3 cents to $4.089, its highest amount since June 12.
In Woodland Hills, you can find it as low as $3.97 per gallon, according to GasBuddy.com.
The average price has increased 39.7 cents over the past 31 days and is 20.9 cents more than one week ago, 39.7 cents higher than one month ago and 34.5 cents greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The Orange County average price rose Sunday for the 29th time in 31 days, increasing 2.1 cents to $4.073, its highest amount since June 10. It is 20.6 cents more than one week ago, 43 cents higher than one month ago and 34.6 cents greater than one year ago.
The Orange County average price has increased 43 cents over the past 31 days, including 5.2 cents on Saturday.
