Gas Prices Drop for 25th Consecutive Day

Woodland Hill's lowest price per gallon beats the county average.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County decreased for the 25th consecutive day Sunday, dropping 1.4 cents to $4.128, one day after falling 2.2 cents.

In Woodland Hills, however, we have a lowest price-per-gallon that's beating the county average. According to GasBuddy.com, three area gas stations are selling regular gasoline for $3.99 per gallon.

Find it at the Arco station at 22004 Clarendon St. at Topanga Canyon Boulevard, the Thrifty station at 6000 N. Canoga Ave. at Oxnard Street and USA station at 22406 Ventura Blvd. at Shoup Avenue.

The county's average price has dropped 28.3 cents over the past 25 days, and is 11.2 cents less than one week ago and 10.5 cents lower than one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

However, the average price is 15.3 cents higher than one year ago.

The decreasing pump prices are the result of a "substantial drop'' in wholesale gasoline prices, according to Jeffrey Spring of the Automobile Club of Southern California.
