Gas Prices Spike - Find the Cheapest Gas Around Woodland Hills
News of a refinery strike in Carson has fueled a price spike in Los Angeles County.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose 1.4 cents today to $2.684 after increasing by more than 3 cents each of the previous five days.
The average price has risen 11 of the past 12 days and is 20.4 cents more than one week ago and 3.7 cents higher than one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. However, it is $1.007 less than one year ago thanks to a 23-day streak of decreases immediately before the current string of increases began.
The rising pump prices are caused by a sharp increase in the wholesale price “likely on news of a strike at the Tesoro refinery in Carson,” said Jeffrey Spring, the corporate communications manager of the Automobile Club of Southern California.
