Grapefruit for the Pickin' This Weekend at Orcutt Ranch
It's time for the annual fruit-picking event at the city's orchard.
The city's grapefruit orchards at Orcutt Ranch will be open to the public this weekend for the annual fruit-picking event.
The Orcutt Ranch Horticultural Center, 23600 Roscoe Blvd., will be open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Fruit pickers must bring their own grocery bags and medium-sized boxes to carry the fruit. Each fruit-filled bag costs $3 and each box $5.
Closed-toe shoes and long pants are recommended to avoid getting scraped. Ladders and tree climbing are not allowed.
