Infant Mauled By Pit Bull In Woodland Hills
A two-month-old boy is in critical condition after the family dog attacked him when the doorbell rang.

WOODLAND HILLS, CA — A baby is in critical condition today after he was mauled by a pit bull in Woodland Hills.
The two-month-old boy was hospitalized at the Northridge Medical Center Monday with major injuries to his face and broken bones after the attack. He is expected to survive, Sgt. Zoltan Mako of the Los Angeles Police Department told the Los Angeles Daily News.
According to police, the tragic attack happened when a delivery person rang the doorbell at a home in the 22600 block of Clarendon Street. When the baby's parent went to answer the door, the dog got of its pin and bit the infant, police said.

Los Angeles Animal Services visited the home Monday night to determine what would happen to the dog, but it was unclear what action was taken, the Daily News reported.
