Insurance to The Rescue!

June 28th has been named Insurance Awareness Day! For all the millions of people who dread the thought of dealing with insurance, a whole calendar day dedicated to insurance is not very appealing. But, for us, it’s exciting!

It’s our chance to show everyone why insurance isn’t as terrible as it’s thought to be. In fact, we think it’s pretty awesome. We’re not expecting everyone to start jumping for joy at the word “insurance,” but these four reasons might alter your opinion on the topic.

Reason #1: It's there when you need it.

Anyone who has reported a claim and had a positive experience knows how helpful it was to have their insurance company there when they were needed. Insurance is like that big warm jacket you keep in the back of your closet for the very rare cold California winter days or trips to the snow. You barely get any use from it, but you keep it on reserve, and it is a lifesaver (possibly literally a lifesaver, as you don’t want to catch hypothermia in the cold).

Were you in a terrible car crash, but can’t afford the damages? Well that’s where your insurance comes in. Did your toilet break and flood the first floor of your house? Insurance to the rescue! Was your car vandalized? Insurance helps again!

You’ve worked hard for what you have, and insurance can help you when unexpected circumstances threaten your hard work.

Insurance companies have their own language, which is why you have educated agents to guide you in making your decisions. A great insurance agent will know what you need and what you don’t need, and help you make the best decisions for your family or your business.

Reason #4: Protection

The first thing most of us do when we leave our car is lock the doors, thinking the car is now safe from intruders. So, you make sure your car is protected while parked, but what about when you are on the road? Insurance may not be able to prevent car accidents (although that would be amazing!), but it can help you get your car fixed or replaced. And it can lessen the financial burden on you or your family if repairs are costly or you are sued.

Insurance can be thought of as a lock of sorts, but a lock for protecting your family and your lifestyle from the financial effects of life’s unforseen and unfortunate situations.
