Local Veteran Cycling in UnitedHealthcare Ride 2 Recovery California Challenge

Woodland Hills Veteran on 516 Mile Challenge Ride from Bay Area to Los Angeles

Oceano Elementary School’s “Bike Posse” escorted John Worden, CEO and founder of Ride 2 Recovery, and Woodland Hills Army veteran, Beatriz de los Santos, along with 200 other injured veterans as they rode through Oceano on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015. These injured veterans and their supporters are riding along California Highway 1 from Pismo Beach to Solvang on Day 5 of the UnitedHealthcare Ride 2 Recovery California Challenge, which runs through Saturday, Oct. 24. For the sixth year, UnitedHealthcare is providing full financial backing for each veteran participating in the California Challenge, allowing the veteran cyclists the ability to focus 100 percent on their healing and rehabilitation process.
