Man, 22, Killed In Rain-Soaked Woodland Hills Crash
Weather was a factor in the the death of a 22-year-old man who lost control of his car and crashed into a pole in Woodland Hills.

WOODLAND HILLS, CA — A 22-year-old West Hills man was fatally injured when a car he was driving crashed into a utility pole in Woodland Hills, police said.
The crash took place about 8:50 p.m. Monday, at the intersection of Victory Boulevard and Royer Avenue, according to a desk officer at Valley Traffic Division of Los Angeles police.
It appeared the unidentified driver lost control of the vehicle before it hit the pole. Weather was a factor in the crash, the desk officer said.

Firefighters used the jaws of life to pull the victim from a red Ford Mustang, ABC7 News reported
Paramedics took the driver to Northridge Hospital where the victim was pronounced dead about 40 minutes later, the desk officer said.

The person's name was withheld pending family notification. No other injuries were reported.
LAPD's Valley Traffic Division was investigating the crash.
