Missing Oxnard Man Was Last Seen Headed to Woodland Hills

Los Angeles City Councilman Bob Blumenfield asked the public today to keep an eye out for a 53-year-old Oxnard man who was supposed to meet a friend in Woodland Hills but never showed up.
Ricardo "Rick" Rodriguez is believed to be a victim of a crime, or a witness, he said. Rodriguez was last seen about 7:30 p.m. Friday in Oxnard.
He was scheduled to meet a friend in Woodland Hills this past weekend, but never arrived. He was reported missing Saturday.

"On behalf of his family and friends, we are asking for help from Ventura and Los Angeles County law enforcement and the public to find Mr. Rodriguez and get him home safely," Blumenfield said. The councilman's San Fernando Valley area council district includes Woodland Hills.
"We believe he may have information about a crime and could still be in the greater Los Angeles area," he said. "His worried family waits anxiously for his return, and asks that he call home."

Rodriguez was seen driving a white Mitsubishi Lancer station wagon with a California plate reading 5KBW229. Authorities believe he may have been near Tom Barber Golf Driving Range in Simi Valley Friday night or Saturday morning.
