The crash took place about 8:50 p.m. last Monday.

WOODLAND HILLS, CA -- A man fatally injured when a car he was driving crashed into a utility pole in Woodland Hills was publicly identified Monday. He was Earl Ammann, 22, of Northridge, coroner's Lt. Larry Dietz said.

The crash took place about 8:50 p.m. last Monday at the intersection of Victory Boulevard and Royer Avenue, said a desk officer at Valley Traffic Division of Los Angeles police.

It appeared the driver lost control of his vehicle before it hit the pole. Weather was a factor in the crash, the desk officer said.
