Police Officer Injured in Woodland Hills Pursuit
The officer suffered a head injury. A perimeter was set up to find the suspect.

WOODLAND HILLS, CA - A Los Angeles police officer was injured today while running after a suspect who escaped from custody while in handcuffs, prompting a dragnet through a western San Fernando Valley neighborhood.
It happened about 9 a.m. near Vanowen Street and De Soto Avenue, said Los Angeles police Officer Liliana Preciado.
The officer was treated at a hospital for a head injury.

Police were seeking Broomi Shawn Mansour, who was barefoot and in handcuffs when last seen.
A modified Tactical Alert was in effect for a time in the Topanga Station's jurisdiction while a search was conducted, and police set up a perimeter for about three hours, but were unable to find the man.

It wasn't immediately clear what prompted the initial confrontation between the suspect and officer.
