Browns Canyon Fire Doused As Santa Anas Trigger Red Flag Warning
Crews tackled a small brushfire near Porter Ranch Monday, but a red flag warning for the region remains in effect through Thursday.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Firefighters Monday quickly extinguished a quarter- acre brush fire in the Browns Canyon area near Porter Ranch, and no structures were threatened.
The fire was reported shortly before 9 a.m. near Browns Canyon Road, according to the county fire department. No injuries were reported.
The fire came as red flag warnings were in force denoting a high danger of wildfire through at least Thursday in Los Angeles and Orange counties because of strong Santa Ana winds and low humidity.
