Suspect Arrested in Deadly Hit and Run

A suspect is in custody following an overnight hit and run crash that killed a man and gravely injured a woman.

Police today said they have a suspect in custody in a hit-and-run crash that left a motorcyclist dead and his passenger critically injured.

It was not immediately known what charges the motorist -- who was driving a pickup truck -- will face, said Officer John Guzman of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division.

The motorcyclist was struck at 3:50 a.m. near the intersection of Saticoy Street and De Soto Avenue in Winnetka, Guzman said.
