Tarzana Native Named Playboy's 2015 Playmate of the Year

Dani Mathers, a 28-year-old actress and model from Tarzana, today was named Playboy’s 2015 Playmate of the Year.

Mathers, who was the magazine’s May 2014 Playmate of the Month, is featured on the cover of the June issue and in a 10-page pictorial.

“I’ve wanted this for so long,” Mathers said. “Like with any accomplishment, you work hard and hope it will pay off, but I can’t believe I did it.”

As the 56th woman to be named Playmate of the Year, she receives $100,000 in prize money and a one-year lease on a 2015 Mini Cooper S convertible.

Mathers has appeared in films, including “Neighbors,” and has had a recurring role on the CBS soap opera “The Bold and the Beautiful” since 2005.
