Good morning, Woodland Hills! It's Friday—and not just any Friday, but the third and final Friday the 13th of the year. But don't worry, your good luck is starting right now because we've got a list of some fun activities for you to enjoy this weekend.
- Whole Foods Market will host a kids' cooking class at noon on Saturday. The event is free, but Whole Foods requests you RSVP to sp.wdh.marketing at wholefoods.com.
- The Valley Cultural Center launches its Movies on the Green with a screening of the PG-rated Hugo at 7 p.m. Saturday at Warner Center Park, 5800 Topanga Canyon Blvd.
- And on Sunday, the Cultural Center's Concerts on the Green return with Asia, featuring John Payne. The free concert starts at 6 p.m. at Warner Center Park.
- The National Weather Service is predicting a slightly cooler day Friday, with a high of 97 degrees, with a low of about 6o degrees overnight. The service is also predicting a slight chance of thunderstorms.
- The lowest price of gas in Woodland Hills, according to GasBuddy.com, is $3.51 per gallon. Find it at the Arco stations at 2204 Clarendon St. at Topanga Canyon Boulevard and 6310 Fallbrook Ave. at Sylvan Street and the Thrifty station at 6000 N. Canoga Ave. and Oxnard Street.
