Woodland Hills Drivers: 101 Freeway Lanes To Close Overnight This Week

Caltrans will be shutting down portions of the 101 Freeway three nights this week headed north toward Woodland Hills.

LOS ANGELES, CA — If you are planning to do any late-night or early morning driving in the San Fernando Valley this week, be prepared for slow going. Caltrans will close all northbound lanes of the 101 Freeway will from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. three times this week in parts of the San Fernando Valley, Caltrans officials announced Monday.

On Tuesday, Caltrans will shut down the northbound lanes between Balboa Boulevard and Reseda Boulevard, between Reseda and Winnetka Avenue on Wednesday, and between Winnetka and Tampa Avenue on Thursday.

The closures are part of a $62 million pavement rehabilitation project. Workers will be inctalling loop detectors in the roadway.

Signs will be posted to inform drivers about the closures and point out detour routes, according to Caltrans.
