One victim was 61, disabled, and had fired the man as her caretaker a year prior.

VAN NUYS, CA - A Woodland Hills man was sentenced today to 45 years to life in state prison for raping two women, including a 61-year-old disabled woman for whom he had once worked as a caretaker.

Ammen Ra Shinti, 61, was convicted March 21 of two counts of forcible rape and one count each of forcible oral copulation and assault to commit a sex crime during the commission of a first-degree burglary. Jurors also found true allegations of multiple victims and great bodily injury.

In November 2014, Shinti entered the disabled woman's Woodland Hills home, sexually assaulted her and then punched and choked her until she lost consciousness, according to testimony presented during his trial.

Shinti had worked as a caretaker for the woman, who had fired him the previous year, according to prosecutors.
