Woodland Hills Man Killed in single-Car Crash

Authorities Identified a 24-year-old Woodland Hills man killed on Platt Avenue.

The coroner’s office today released the name of a man killed in a single-vehicle crash in Woodland Hills.

He was 24-year-old Adam Amar of Woodland Hills, said coroner’s Investigator Kristy McCracken.

The crash occurred near the intersection of Burbank Boulevard and Platt Avenue at 3:17 a.m. Friday, a Los Angeles Police officer at the Valley Traffic Division said.

The motorist, driving a late model Lexus southbound on Platt Avenue, for unknown reasons, crossed over into the northbound lanes and struck the tree, causing the vehicle to catch fire, said Los Angeles police Sgt. Randy Modrell of the Valley Traffic Division.

“The driver was unable to extricate himself from the vehicle,” said Modrell, adding the motorist was the lone occupant in his car.
