A 25-year-old man who burglarized adult and lingeries stores all over the San Fernando Valley was sentenced to three years in jail.

LOS ANGELES, CA — The Valley's infamous "Panty Bandit" is was sentenced Friday to nearly three years in jail for carrying out a series of burglaries at adult and lingerie stores in the San Fernando Valley.

Carlos Oliva, 35, of Canoga Park, pleaded no contest Jan. 6 to three counts of second-degree commercial burglary, according to Deputy District Attorney Ranna Jahanshahi. Olivia was charged with a dozen burglaries targeting adult and lingeries stores across western San Fernando Valley, sometimes hitting up the same store more than once. Police arrested him in September as he was trying to burglarize the Excitement store in Woodland Hills.

Oliva always stole the same type of property -- either women's panties or adult DVDs -- and some stores were burglarized more than once between January and September 2016, according to the prosecutor.
