Woodland Hills School District is proud to announce that we have been awarded one of the targeted PA Smart grants for 2020-2021. The grant will assist us in our goals to increase and improve Computer Science education in the district. We know that the fields of Computer Science and Technology are currently in high-demand across the state and we believe that this grant will help us to prepare WHSD students for careers after graduation. The $35,000 will specifically be used to bolster our K-8 Computer Science curriculum, while also providing resources to be used in the new Dickson Intermediate School and our three elementary STEAM academies. Six of our WHSD educators are also receiving seven days of additional professional development from the PA Department of Education at no cost.
