• Wadsworth Boulevard Resurfacing from 65th to 90th Avenue Design (codot.gov) — Drivers and arts lovers in Arvada should know CDOT is designing a resurfacing project for Wadsworth Boulevard from 65th to 90th, including new ADA-compliant curb ramps and a replaced signal at West 68th. A small easement from the Arvada Center's Sculpture Field will be needed, but access will remain open and federal rules say the impact is minimal, with public comments invited.
   

• Arvada West softball ends losing streak by putting up 28 runs in win over Golden (coloradopreps.com) — Arvada West High School's softball team snapped a four-game skid at home by outslugging Golden 28-18 in a wild five-inning matchup. Led by senior Macie Ferguson's perfect day at the plate, the Wildcats rallied from an early 11-0 deficit and hope this offensive surge builds confidence heading into upcoming non-league games and 5A Jeffco play.
