• City makes big investment in Olde Town Arvada Ambassador Program (cbsnews.com) — Arvada has launched a three-year, $440,000-per-year ambassador program focused on Olde Town, putting four ambassadors on the streets to support businesses, assist visitors, and address cleanliness and safety concerns. Run by contractor Block by Block, the pilot responds to feedback from merchants and will be evaluated after three years to see if it boosts business and improves the district's atmosphere.
   

• Pomona football grabs key Class 3A Foothills win and hands Conifer its first loss (coloradopreps.com) — Pomona High School fans in Arvada saw a dramatic homecoming win as junior Parker Mills forced a late fumble to seal a 21–19 victory over previously unbeaten Conifer. Quarterback Tucker Ingersoll, back from a knee scare and committed to Wyoming, threw key touchdowns while versatile junior Isaias Sierra made impact plays all over the field. The Panthers, now 2–0 in Class 3A Foothills play, next host Kent Denver at the NAAC on Thursday, October 8.
   

• Suspect Sought in Jefferson County Road-Rage Shooting (ground.news) — A man in his 70s was shot in the back during an alleged road-rage encounter on I-70 near Arvada, and Jefferson County deputies are still searching for the suspect. Investigators say the Sept. 29 incident remains under active investigation, and they're asking anyone who may have seen the confrontation near Arvada to come forward with information.
