📰 News we're reading
• Aspen aims to improve traffic flow, congestion (aspentimes.com) — Aspen's transportation staff just briefed City Council on a slate of projects aimed at easing traffic and cutting car trips, from expanded carpool and employer mini-grant programs to a new Lumber Yard bus route. Planned 2027 budget requests would bolster the Zipcar pilot, visitor trip-reduction grants, and more shuttle and bus purchases, all of which could reshape how you get around town.
• Tell us what you think! It's time for our Fall 2026 Listener Survey (aspenpublicradio.org) — Aspen Public Radio is asking local listeners, including many in Aspen itself, to take a short Fall 2026 survey to shape future news coverage and programming. Responses will guide how much local reporting, emergency information, and topic-specific coverage the station provides across the Roaring Fork and Colorado River valleys before the survey closes at noon on October 19.
