CDOT, Thornton & Broomfield celebrate completion of fourth mobility hub on I-25 north (codot.gov) — A new mobility hub at I-25 and CO 7 is opening to connect Broomfield residents with Bustang buses and local transit to Boulder, Brighton, and beyond, with service starting Sunday, Sept. 13. The hub adds parking, a pedestrian bridge, bike storage, and safety upgrades, aiming to cut car dependence and make regional commutes easier for people living in and around Broomfield.
   

2. Company Recalls 1%Milk Sold at Target and Walmart (ntd.com) — A Broomfield-based producer, Horizon Organic Dairy, has recalled more than 53,000 cases of 1% organic chocolate milk sold at Target, Walmart, and Whole Foods because some cartons may be spoiled. If you've recently bought Horizon 1% chocolate milk, especially multi-pack tetra paks with early 2027 expiration dates, you may want to check your pantry and avoid drinking any bloated or off-smelling cartons.
   

3. Coloradans mark 25 years since the September 11 attacks with ceremonies and new memorials (denver7.com) — Broomfield's annual 9/11 ceremony offered a place of comfort for Coloradans who lost loved ones in the attacks, including families from Arvada and Denver. The event honors victims like Chris Faughnan each year and reminds attendees to balance grief with hope and kindness, even 25 years after the tragedy.
   

4. Colorado volunteers show up for Xcel Energy's Day of Service (cbsnews.com) — Broomfield FISH welcomed about 15 Xcel Energy volunteers to pack snack bags for local kids and build much-needed picnic tables, directly supporting families facing hunger and housing insecurity in Broomfield. The project is part of Xcel's statewide Day of Service, which also includes food pantry work with Jewish Family Services and a drive for essential groceries and toiletries.
