Both were booked into the Broomfield Detention Center on multiple charges, and officers say the woman also had fentanyl and outstanding warrants, underscoring ongoing drug enforcement in this busy local shopping area.

• Stealing from friends is OK. Legacy hands Erie boys soccer first loss (broomfieldenterprise.com) — Legacy boys soccer handed previously unbeaten Erie its first loss, 2-1, in Westminster, and now turns its attention to hosting No. 22 Broomfield next. For local fans, that means a marquee upcoming league matchup where Broomfield will test a Legacy squad gaining momentum and Erie looking to regroup after a tough mental letdown in its league opener.

• South Denver metro town named one of the best small cities in the country (westword.com) — Broomfield ranked in the 95th percentile among more than 1,300 small U.S. cities in WalletHub's new livability study, placing it among Colorado's top performers.
