No serious injuries were reported, and officials say the quick, coordinated response across Denver Fire, police, and 911 shows the city's emergency services are prepared for multiple complex incidents at once.
3. Denver neighborhood raising questions about a family shelter coming to their neighborhood (kdvr.com) — A new family shelter is planned for a former halfway house at Columbine Street and East 43rd Avenue in Denver's Elyria-Swansea neighborhood, potentially opening later this year for up to 20 families. Neighbors and local leaders are debating whether the area is appropriate, while Denver's housing department says it will keep meeting with residents as the zoning use permit process moves forward.
4. Why Denver's luxury housing market had its best summer in years (denverpost.com) — Denver's high-end housing market is bucking the broader slowdown, with $1 million-plus homes selling faster and in greater numbers than last year despite high interest rates.
