The dog-care business owner now faces a cruelty-to-animals charge, while Daisy's family urges other Denver pet owners to thoroughly vet caregivers and remember how quickly heat can turn deadly in vehicles.
   

3. Denver woman files federal lawsuit claiming Flock cameras were misused to falsely charge her with theft (denver7.com) — A Denver woman is suing Flock Safety and two nearby towns, claiming license-plate cameras and police wrongly tied her to a stolen $25 package in Bow Mar. After clearing her name with her own dashcam footage, she and her attorney now seek a federal injunction that could reshape how these surveillance cameras are used in Colorado and beyond.
   

4. I-70 traffic backups costly in mountain areas: Study (kdvr.com) — If you regularly drive I-70 between Denver and the mountains, a new study shows congestion on this stretch now costs billions in lost time and shipping delays. Researchers found truckers face millions in added shipping costs each year, while drivers collectively lose hundreds of millions in personal time as backups worsen along the Denver–Grand Junction corridor.
