• Heartside Hill Earns National Housing Honor (northfortynews.com) — A new 72-unit affordable housing community in Fort Collins, Heartside Hill Apartments, has earned national recognition for its resilient design, on-site services, and sustainability features. The campus also includes Habitat for Humanity homes, L'Arche residences, and a planned early childhood education center, expanding lower-cost housing and support options for local families and residents with disabilities.
• CSU's Straayer Center hosts seminar on local civics, highlights opportunities - The Rocky Mountain Collegian (collegian.com) — CSU's recent Civics and Voting 101 seminar highlighted concrete ways Fort Collins students and residents can shape local decisions, from serving on city boards and commissions to speaking at City Council meetings. Speakers from Larimer County, the City of Fort Collins and student government also outlined election participation, internships, and advocacy opportunities that influence housing, transportation, and other everyday issues in town.
• Morgan Library brings a 'piece of Ghana' home to Fort Collins (collegian.com) — Colorado State University's Morgan Library is hosting a long-running "Gifts from Ghana" exhibit that brings the Ghana Community Engagement Project's experiences home to Fort Collins. Through colorful displays, audio, video, and student storytelling, visitors can explore Ghanaian culture and ideas of transnational solidarity without leaving town, with the exhibit open through May 15, 2027.
