• Jeffco Schools says 350 jobs were cut last school year to address ongoing budget deficit (9news.com) — Jeffco Schools, based in Golden, cut about 350 positions last school year, including 125 teaching jobs and several support roles, to address a budget deficit. Now the district is asking voters to approve a November mill levy override that would raise the average Jeffco homeowner's property taxes by about $22 a month to boost pay, programs, and building improvements.
