Denver Rescue Mission partnering with school districts after homeless prevention pilot (denver7.com) β Families in Golden and across Jefferson County are getting new help staying housed through Denver Rescue Mission's school-based homelessness prevention program, piloted with Jeffco Public Schools. By placing caseworkers in schools and offering one-time emergency payments averaging $2,900, the effort has already kept more than 100 Colorado families, including 40 Jeffco families, from losing their homes and is now expanding statewide.
