• Police Seek Information Following Shooting on Balanced Rock Way (junctionnow.com) — Police are investigating after multiple shots were fired into an unoccupied parked vehicle on the 600 block of Balanced Rock Way in Grand Junction, with no injuries reported. Officers are asking residents to share any information or surveillance footage that might help identify the suspect. Tips can be given directly to dispatch or anonymously through Crime Stoppers for a possible cash reward.
• Vehicle vs Building, Ridge Dr & N 12th St (junctionnow.com) — An SUV crashed through a ground-floor unit at Northwoods Apartments on North 12th Street in Grand Junction, forcing nearby residents to evacuate but leaving apartment occupants uninjured. The driver, the only person in the vehicle, was taken to a local hospital by Grand Junction Fire with unknown injuries. Police say alcohol is not suspected and the investigation continues.
• Colorado man faces attempted murder charges after shootout with deputy U.S. marshals in Florida (krystal93.com) — A 72-year-old man from Grand Junction has been indicted in Florida on multiple attempted murder and assault charges after allegedly shooting at U.S. marshals trying to arrest him in Vero Beach. One deputy was wounded before officers returned fire and took him into custody. The case, tied to an earlier Colorado warrant, could result in a life sentence if he's convicted.
