• Douglas County home sales fell in August as prices held up and condo supply grew (thebadger.news) — Highlands Ranch home shoppers are facing a much tighter market, with single-family listings down 55% and new listings down 61% even as the median price climbed to $750,000 in August. Across Douglas County, sales slowed and prices mostly held steady, while condo and townhouse inventory grew but saw fewer closings, signaling a tougher landscape for both buyers and sellers.
   

• Judge Lets 'Sneaky Hobbitses' Rewrite of 3-to-5 Ballot Measure Stand (coloradotimesrecorder.com) — Douglas County voters will see two competing questions this November about expanding the county commission from three to five members, after a judge declined to block commissioners' rewritten ballot language. Highlands Ranch Democrat Bob Marshall, who represents the area at the statehouse, argued the board's changes and added question conflict with state law, but any challenge now must wait until after the election.
