Teller St. in Lakewood, which will greatly expand services offered by the Action Center and partner nonprofits. Once complete, residents will find no-cost food and clothing, health care, workforce support, education programs, youth sports, and shared community spaces like a café, event center, and gym under one roof.
• Off the clock: How Edgewater's Jefferson High stayed open (thegoldentranscript.com) — Jeffco's Jefferson Junior/Senior High in nearby Edgewater has escaped possible closure after boosting state test participation and earning back-to-back improvement ratings, easing concerns for families across the district. One student describes leaving Lakewood High School for Jefferson to find a more welcoming, Spanish-speaking environment, highlighting ongoing equity and enrollment debates that still affect Lakewood-area schools.
