Bear Creek Dam gates to be replaced after extensive corrosion discovered (army.mil) β Bear Creek Dam in Lakewood will undergo major gate replacements starting November 2026, with work expected to finish by February 2028 and involving up to three significant water-level drawdowns. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says the project is needed to fix corrosion and keep the dam operating safely to reduce regional flood risk, while also managing releases for recreation and wildlife.

The team just signed 24-year-old goaltender Kaleb Martin to a three-year deal, and he's expected to join star netminder Dillon Ward and teammates as they prepare for the 2026-27 National Lacrosse League season.
