• A-West and Green Mountain battle in final tuneup before flag football playoffs (coloradopreps.com) — A flag football showdown at Lakewood's Trailblazer Stadium saw Arvada West rally past Green Mountain 34-27, extending the Wildcats' winning streak and setting up state tournament play. Second-round 5A playoff games on Oct. 17 will be hosted at either Trailblazer Stadium or Jeffco Stadium in Lakewood, giving local fans a chance to see top-seeded teams in action close to home.
