• Substance abuse recovery center in Colorado to lose Medicaid access to treatment (cbsnews.com) — A Littleton-based recovery center, New Beginnings, is set to lose its Medicaid contract in February 2027, threatening treatment access for hundreds of local residents in recovery. Clients like Olivia Flieder fear losing affordable classes, therapy, and sober housing, while the center plans a petition to push Colorado Community Health Alliance and Medicaid to reconsider.
   

• CPW officers recognized for life-saving response after boating accident at Chatfield State Park (krdo.com) — First responders recently honored six Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers in Littleton for saving a man whose leg was severed in a July boating accident at Chatfield State Park. The officers' quick tourniquet work and coordination with South Metro and West Metro Fire helped stabilize the victim, who continues to recover after treatment at AdventHealth Littleton.
