Today's riddle: Why do fish live in salt water? 🤔 (Answer below!)
1. Infleqtion consolidating at expanded Louisville HQ (bizwest.com) — Infleqtion is consolidating its Colorado operations into an expanded Louisville headquarters, bringing about 100 Boulder employees into a 107,000-square-foot Colorado Quantum Innovation Center on West Century Drive. The move cements Louisville's role in a growing quantum-technology hub stretching along U.S. 36. Local leaders say the facility will anchor high-paying jobs, research, and federal investment in advanced computing and sensing.
2. Former officer alleges Dacono police illegally arrested him for his speech in lawsuit (dailycamera.com) — A former Louisville police officer is suing the city of Dacono and several of its officers, alleging they illegally arrested him after he showed his Louisville Police badge during a July 4, 2025 fireworks encounter. The federal lawsuit claims his constitutional rights were violated and notes an internal affairs board later found policy violations by two Dacono officers, while charges against him were dropped.
3. That Parenting Musical Will Get Album Featuring Christopher Jackson, Bonnie Milligan, More (playbill.com) — A new cast album is on the way for That Parenting Musical, which got some of its earliest developmental stagings at Louisville's CenterStage Theater Company back in 2019. The parenting-themed show has since grown to Off-Broadway and a Colorado premiere, and the upcoming recording will feature well-known Broadway performers while keeping ties to its Louisville roots.
4. Prettiest Denver suburbs see home insurance premiums soar with wildfire risk (denvergazette.com) — Louisville homeowners still feeling the legacy of the 2021 Marshall Fire are now part of a broader trend of soaring insurance premiums in Colorado's prettiest, most wildfire-prone suburbs. A new analysis shows the state among the nation's most vulnerable for wildfire-related insurance costs, prompting counties to invest in mitigation, emergency alerts, helicopters, and new state-backed insurance options to keep coverage available.
