• Bike Clinic offers free repairs and mechanic classes in Parachute (postindependent.com) — A new volunteer-run Bike Clinic is offering free bicycle repairs and hands-on mechanic classes right in Parachute, helping residents keep their bikes rolling despite the nearest shop being 18 miles away. Organizers have already fixed dozens of bikes at local events and will ask Parachute Town Council on Oct. 15 to lease a vacant building while fundraising for a mobile repair trailer.
   

• Parachute roots grow stronger as Design Workshop interns work with town officials (postindependent.com) — Parachute officials spent the summer working with Design Workshop interns to reimagine Beasley Park and Parachute Landing Park as more welcoming gateways for events and gatherings. The pro bono project also helped the town clarify its identity, from honoring its history and schools to highlighting the rare Parachute Penstemon, feeding into a broader push to revitalize downtown and strengthen community pride.
