1,000 New Coronavirus Cases And 82 Deaths Reported In CT
As Connecticut eyes a partial reopening on May 20 the number of positive cases and deaths continue to remain high.

CONNECTICUT — The number of confirmed cases of the new coronavirus in Connecticut is 28,764 and the total deaths has now reached 2,339. The number of people hospitalized is currently at 1,592.
Over the past 24 hours an additional 1,064 cases were reported, 82 new deaths but there were 58 less hospital admissions. More than 100,000 people have been tested in Connecticut.

- Fairfield County 11,612 confirmed cases; 839 deaths; 537 hospitalizations
- Hartford County 5,931 confirmed cases; 715 deaths; 413 hospitalizations
- Litchfield County 1,014 confirmed cases; 86 deaths; 22 hospitalizations
- Middlesex County 687 confirmed cases; 82 deaths; 40 hospitalizations
- New Haven County 7,900 confirmed cases; 533 deaths; 533 hospitalizations
- New London County 603 confirmed cases; 42 deaths; 38 hospitalizations
- Tolland County 446 confirmed cases; 38 deaths; 6 hospitalizations
- Windham County 200 confirmed cases; 2 deaths; 3 hospitalizations
- Pending address validation 371 confirmed cases; 2 deaths
Of the 2,339 reported deaths, 1,357 deaths are people over the age of 80; 521 between the ages of 70 and 79; 300 between the ages of 60 and 69; 102 between the ages of 50 and 59; 32 between the ages of 40 and 49; 18 between the ages of 30 and 39; 3 between the ages of 20 and 29; 1 between the ages of 10 and 19; and 1 between the ages of 0 and 9.
