Winchester police declined to comment Tuesday on the cause of their injuries or how the two people are related, citing an open and ongoing investigation.

Town assessor records show the property is co-owned by Leon and Carrie Stetson, who purchased it in 1997.

The Connecticut State Police Western District Major Crime Squad responded to the scene at local police’s request to assist with the investigation.

“Preliminary information gathered indicates domestic violence and there is no danger to the community,” Ciuci said.
