1 Dead, 3 Injured In Chaplin Route 6 Crash: State Police
A woman is dead and three other people were injured in an accident Saturday morning, according to state police.
CHAPLIN, CT — A woman is dead and three others were injured in a crash in Chaplin on Saturday morning, according to state police.
Police responded to a two-car accident on Route 6 at 9:06 a.m.
A 2008 Nissan Maxima was driving westbound on Route 6. A 2020 Nissan Murano crossed into the westbound lane and collided with the Maxima.

A passenger in the Murano, Beverly A. Elwood, 79, of Storrs, died in the accident, according to police.
The Murano's driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital. The Maxima's driver and passenger also sustained minor injuries, but only the driver was hospitalized.
