100 Best Public Elementary Schools In Connecticut for 2019

Despite an uncertain fiscal future for the State of Connecticut, one of its main selling points still remains. Connecticut has some great schools, particularly at the elementary level. Niche.com recently released its ranking of the top elementary schools in the Nutmeg State.

Similar to the ranking of the state's best high schools, Fairfield County controlled the top of the list. New Canaan has the top elementary school in the state and three of the top four. Fairfield County has seven of the top 10 elementary public schools in the state.

Niche, a website for researching schools, said "The 2019 Best Public Elementary Schools ranking is based on rigorous analysis of key statistics and millions of reviews from students and parents using data from the U.S. Department of Education. Ranking factors include state test scores, student-teacher ratio, student diversity, teacher quality, grade school ratings, and the overall quality of the school district.
