100 Best Public Middle Schools In Connecticut: New Rankings

Connecticut students between the ages of 10-13 returned to middle schools statewide last month in preparation for their high school careers and beyond.

With that in mind, Niche.com has ranked the Nutmeg state's top public middle schools. Similar to the website's rankings for high schools and elementary schools, Fairfield County dominated the top three positions. Amity Middle School in Bethany cracked the top 5 while Gideon Welles School in Glastonbury was the first Hartford County school to make the list. Niche.com says it calculated its rankings based on reviews from students and parents along with test scores, student-teacher ratio, teacher quality, diversity and the overall quality of a school district.
