Up To $1K Stolen From CT Church Donation Collection: Reports

TORRINGTON, CT — Police are investigating after up to $1,000 was apparently stolen from a donations collection at a Connecticut church this week, according to multiple reports.

St. Maron's Church in Torrington reported the theft Tuesday morning after realizing the donation money collected during weekend services — between $500 and $1,000 — was missing despite no signs of forced entry into the church, WTNH and The Register Citizen reported.

Authorities are urging anyone with relevant information to contact Officer Arvelo at the Torrington Police Department at 860-489-2068.
