'2022 Best Places to Raise a Family in Connecticut': New Report

A new report determines the best places to raise a family in Connecticut. Where does your neighborhood rank?

CONNECTICUT — A new report ranked every neighborhood in Connecticut to come up with the best place to raise a family.

Last month personal finance website MoneyRates named ranked Connecticut No. 4, behind New Jersey, Massachusetts and Utah on its list of "10 Best States to Raise A Family." Now, education platform Niche parsed the metrics even further to divine the "2022 Best Places to Raise a Family in Connecticut."

Niche analysts judged Connecticut neighborhoods on their schools, housing, jobs, weather, crime rate and seven other "quality of life" yardsticks, giving each a traditional "report card" of academic-type grades.

Four of the top ten neighborhoods on the Niche list are in Gold Coast anchor Greenwich, challenging the maxim that money can't buy happiness.

At the top of the family friendliness food chain is Old Greenwich, with an A+ overall grade, according to Niche.
