23 Connecticut Businesses Had Recent Liquor License Suspensions

A total of 23 establishments had their liquor licenses suspended by the Connecticut Liquor Control Commission from July through now.

A total of 23 Connecticut businesses had their liquor licenses suspended during July, August, September, October, and November to date, according to public information from the Department of Consumer Protection's Liquor Control Commission.

Suspensions ranged from one day to three, and fines between $375 and $10,000 were meted out for various offenses, including improper touching or exposure, minor dancer violation, brawls and or disturbances, selling liquor to minors, refusal of cooperation by permittees and backers, smoking, and minors in barrooms.

The establishments cited statewide, with number of days suspended and/or fines and the reasons for the suspension and or fines, are listed below.

Plaza Liquors in East Berlin, suspended Jan. 7 to Jan. 9, 2019, paid a fine of $750 for sale to a minor

Shantok Package Store in Uncasville, suspended Dec. 4., paid a fine of $500 for sale to a minor

The Russian Lady in Hartford, suspended Nov. 5 to Nov. 8, paid a fine of $10,000 for sale to a minor and minor in a barroom

Wines Unlimited in Stratford, suspended 1 day and paid a fine of $500 for sale to a minor

S & S Wine and Liquor Warehouse in Stratford, suspended 1 day and paid a fine of $500 for sale to a minor

Charlie Bravo's in Putnam, suspended 1 day and paid a fine of $500 for sale to a minor, minor in barroom, and fire safety.

Corner Pocket in Middletown suspended 1 day and paid a fine of $500 for sale to a minor and minor in barroom.

The Deck in Westbrook, suspended 1 day and paid a fine of $750 for conduct of permit premise

Legend's Sports Bar in Bristol, suspended 1 day and paid a fine of $500 for refilling

United Banquet Hall Cafe in Hartford, suspended 3 days and paid a fine of $500 for hours and days of closing and cafe permit

Prospect Cafe of East Hartford, suspended 1 day and paid a fine of $375 for hours and days of closing

Elm City Liquors in New Haven, suspended 1 day and paid a fine of $750 for package store permit, prices properly posted, conduct of permit premise, conduct of permit premises - unlawful conduct, prices to be posted.

El Tenampa in Norwalk, suspended 1 day and paid a fine of $750 for conduct of permit premises - unlawful conduct - smoking, restrictions on sales and purchases by permittees; donations, and purchase for resale.

Lucky's Cabaret in Vernon, suspended 1 day and paid a fine of $1,500 for conduct of permit premises - improper touching or exposure, conduct of permit premises - display, and conduct of permit premises - minor dancer violation.

Riddle's Pub in Naugatuck, suspended 1 day and paid a fine of $500 for failure to cooperate, conduct of permit premises - brawls, disturbances, conduct of permit premises - unlawful conduct - smoking, and loitering on permit premises.

K C's Pub in Guilford, suspended 1 day and paid a fine of $375 for restrictions on sales and purchases by permittees; donations, purchase for resale, and refiling.

Puerto Vallarta in Orange, suspended 1 day and paid a fine of $375 for conduct of permit premise.

Pappy's in East Hartford, suspended 1 day and paid a fine of $375 for hours and days of closing.

College Wine in New Haven, suspended 1 day and paid a fine of $500 for sale to minor and package store permit.

Rumba Cafe in Stamford, suspended 1 day and paid a fine of $1,000 for invoices, labels, labeling and registration of brands, purchase for resale, restrictions on sales and purchases by permittees; donations, minor in barroom, and contained to be sealed.
